10 Ways to Increase the Number of your RSS Subscribers

We all want big numbers, right? Today in this blogging brainiac episode I’m gonna give you 10 secrets to help you increase your feed readers.
1. Use full RSS feed. This is the most important rule you should never left behind! You must use full feed in order to keep your readers subscribed. We all know, that everybody hates receiving only a part of the post when he subscribes, so don’t let people start unsubscribing from your feed just for not giving them full posts.
2. Post frequently. In order to keep your readers you must post frequently. You should do that every day or just every second day if you are lazy 
3. Set goals. This really pays off. I settled my goal of reaching 50 subscribers the first week and not only that I accomplished it, but I got more that 50 (70+).
4. Host a Contest. Hosting a contest is the best thing for getting more RSS subscribers. After the contest is over don’t do some paid reviews or joking ‘coz all of the subscribers will unsubscribe! So give quality info after the contest.
5. Ask them to subscribe. Ask visitors to subscribe at the end of any post you do. I am inviting you to subscribe to my feed too and you’ll enter my 3500 EC give away contest when doing that.
6. Give away gifts and free stuff. We all want gifts, right? Give people gifts and free stuff and you’ll get a pretty nice bump of subscribers for your count. I’ve included a secret link in the confirmation email for my mail subscribers to gain more of them and it really works;)
7. Place your feed icon at the most visible place on your blog. If you’ve done all of the things above you’ll must place your feed at the most visible spot! If a buddy wants to subscribe don’t let him search your subscribe icon on the bottom! No advertisement is important as this.
8. Be helpful. A girl at entrecard needed a banner so I asked her to create one for her. It was a kind offer and she subscribed to my feed to show her appreciation. The same happened when one guy didn’t knew how to login to his wp blog 
and asked for help at the warrior forum. I replied first and he was so happy that he stayed my reader sense I am running the blog. So be helpful… it’ll pay off!
9. Show off your feed count when it reaches at least 50! People this days are so evil that you won’t get a subscriber if you show off your feed count when it shows 1 subscriber (which by the way was you 
) I showed my feed count when it was showing more that 70 subscribers and I am getting more and more subscribers every day. You understan, right…?!
10. Subscribe to the blogging brainiac feed! I’m gonna give you quality info every single day, and in the confirmation email you’ll receive a secret link where yo can download useful business ebooks. When you are done, you’ve entered my contest so comment and I’ll count you in!
A little check where you should ask your self:
- Do you use full RSS feed?
- Do you post frequently?
- Do you set your goals?
- Did you hosted some kind of contest?
- Do you ask visitors to subscribe?
- Do you give away free stuff?
- Is your subscribe icon at the most visible spot at the blog?
- Are you helpful?
- Did you showed off your feed count when it was reaching one subscriber, which btw was you?
- Did you subscribed to the blogging brainiac feed?

This tips should be great for noobs blogger. I always love a step by step tips. It makes me easier to plan how to develop my blog until it can generate high traffic. Love the show subscriber part, coz it’s so true. After my blog get 40 subs then i start showing it. In a few weeks i get more subscribers, the tricks is to get the 40 count first! ask your family or friends to subs it..be creative bloggers!

These are some great tips. I think that it really boosts a webmaster confidence when they can see the RSS subscribers. It gives them the feeling that they have loyal readers.

one thing that I’ve noticed many people do is that in addition to giving full site feeds, they also hosts contests for top commentators so readers are attracted to go to their site and comment
