Content is King - Design The Queen!

We all probably know about the famous sentence - “Content is Kind” or “Marketing is Kind” but have you thought about who’s the queen? Would a kind role good without a queen? NO! Sure not. If we take the queen as an example to be our design we’ll clearly see that you can’t have a good blog without a good design. This is laughable but true. Even if your content is the best in the blogosphare and your design sucks then then probably your readers won’t even look at your posts. There are few ways to help you improve your queen quality:
1. 10000 Bloggers are using your theme. Yucck! You should try to buy a unique theme at the dp forums as there are always good designers that will design you a blog that will fit your needs very cheap.
2. Modify Good. Even if 10,000 bloggers are using your theme you should try to modify it hard. You know that there are thousands of themes out there from where you can get inspired always.
So the new rule we should follow and the new blogging brainiac tip says: “Content is King - Design The Queen”. Don’t forget to have a beautiful queen and role good

I don’t have a lot of money to spend on design. So #1 isn’t within my reach. I searched for affordable customized WP themes but they aren’t that inexpensive.
I currently customize my themes heavily. After I’m done with them, you can’t tell which theme I used. (at least that’s what I hope)

In my opinion, spending too much time on a design is a bad thing. If you can’t think of a site that uses the theme your using, most people probably won’t be able to either.
Some themes however, like Kubrick (default) are overused way to much.
Not that customization is a bad thing. Usability is the most important part when it comes to design. Most regular readers won’t look at your site on a regular basis, instead using an rss reader.
