How To SEO Your Blog
Posted on June 1st, 2008 by Mark under UncategorizedSearch engine Optimization isn’t really hard and you can get thousands of unique visitors to your site refered by search engines free, only if you know how to optimize your site good. In this guide I’m gonna show you exactly how to SEO your website and rank high for keywords in the niche you are blogging.
1. SEO for Titles.
You always need to include keywords in the title of your site. Which one do you think that’ll get higher rankings:
-Welcome To Our Blog
or…
-Making Money Online | Make Money Online with BLah…
2. Get listed in less than a day.
If your blog is brand new you’ll first need to index your site in google and other major search engines. Usually this takes 4 weeks but if you have some PR sites you can get listed in a single day! Just link to the site from one of your sites with pagerank and you’ll get listed! If you don’t have a PR site you can easily buy links on various sites.
3. The H1 Tags
The H1 tags will help google find your keywords easier so it will help you rank better. You need to place <h1> tags right above your title where the keywords are.
4. The Anchor Text
While linking to your site when you do link exchanges ask your partners to link to your site with your keywords in the anchor text. “Make Money Online” will get batter rankings for your site than “Mike’s Blog”
5. Use bold text
As similar as the <h1> tags you need to use bold text so that google will rank your site batter for some keywords. The html tag for bold is <b>your text</b>
So now to SEO optimize your blog you’ll need to:
-SEO The Titles
-Get Indexed
-Use h1 Tags
-Never forget the power of the anchor text
-Use Bold text

“Using the best kind of permalinks for your blog”
There are conflicting ones on what’s the best permalinks
… with year/month/…with category/… posttitle only with .html at the end, posttitle only/
I used the /posttitle.html ..although tracebacks don’t seem to work
